The aftermath…

Monday was a sorry day for me, a large Rowan tree at the bottom of our garden finally succumbed to the battering it was receiving from the inclement weather (for those of you who were lucky enough to miss this, storm force winds and heavy rain for 2 days).

Rather than losing a limb or some small branches the whole sorry thing has sheared off 5ft above the ground, the standing trunk remaining resolutely on my neighbour’s side of the hedge. The remaining tree, all of it, came through my greenhouse roof.

I have always wanted a nice cedar greenhouse, perhaps now is the time to treat myself?
