Recognition for a National Trust for Scotland gardener.

Presenting Caley awards which recognise horticultural skills and  gardening expertise is always special.  Just occasionally there is an opportunity to do this on the recipients’ home turf.  Today at  NTS Broughton House in Kirkcudbright  was such an occasion.  Nick HoskinsNick Hoskins had previously worked at Threave School of  Practical Horticulture and developed the model garden at Culross Palace before moving to Broughton House in 1998.  At Broughton House he worked tirelessly to enhance and re-invigorate the garden. Work that has been admired by gardeners and visitors from around the world and helped the property to earn 4 star visitor attraction status.Broughton House (4)
