Painting Paradise: The Art of the Garden

A very special exhibition is now underway at the Queen’s Gallery by Palace of Holyroodhouse.   The exhibition shows the very different ways which gardens and plants inspired artists and craftsmen – including  two sketches by Leonardo da Vinci.

The exhibition runs until 26th February and there is a wide programme of associated events many of which are being run in conjunction with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

(If you visit you will need to look very carefully at the Vincennes Sunflower Clock if you want to see the very delicate clock hands.)
